New Rating System

Posted on: January 15, 2008 3:18 pm

I want to wonder why they still have not changed the rating system to the way its supposed to be? Why don't they just get rid of it. It does not make sense for you to get somebody a 5 star rating and then having the computer give them like a 2.5 , I thought that the admids and whoever else works at CBS was going to fix this problem?

New Rating System

I agree, this whole thing is ridiculous.  When you get up in the 90s, it becomes a battle of "please don't rate my post at all!" to anyone new to the boards.  A perfect score shouldn't hold you back because a new guy is giving it.

Also, it makes anything BUT a perfect score meaningless.  You can't say "I like this post, but I feel like something's missing" or "you got this one tiny fact wrong" without hurting the poster's rep.  I miss the 1-10, even though it was calculated in the same asinine way.

New Rating System

I heard that they were going to fix it , by using some metric system and that starting February 1st adjusted reviews will be normal again and even a zero or one will not decrease another person's value. I want to see how that goes . It sounds good but sometimes its too good to be true.
